Here we have Fate&Nanoha in their school uniform, two of the few packages I received a few days ago.
Kind of cute figs, but not without their faults.
The Fate Figma (062, released in 3/2010 ) is sold at ¥2,500 msrp ( but can somewhat easily be found for half that )
Nanoha ( SP-007, released 1/21/2010 ) is sold at ¥13,629 msrp, a much higher price because it was only sold bundled with the psp game (A game which I thought kind of sucked, but then I'm not big on fighting games to start with.)
One you get past the outside box you'll see they're pretty similar, though the plastics are slightly different shades, and Nanoha's put up a bit of a fight getting it open.
They both come with pretty much the same accessory's
7 extra hands
1 closed eyes exta face
a backpack/bag
a stand
and their little mascot friends
Nanoha comes with an extra claw like part as show.
The reason for this extra part is Nanoha's backpack, which when worn, covers the hold in her back you would use with the stand normally, as such that peace is used to grab hold of her wast.
They both came with bags but their not the same.
Fate's bag is meant to be carried and can't be worn, where as Nanoha's bag is meant to be worn not carried.

I've got to say, without pulling off the arms ( Which I didin't ) The pack is a bit of a pain to get on, as you can see in the image below, It's also hard to get off.
As you might have noticed by now, yes they do in fact both have the exact same body, Not just similar as with the lucky star, k-on! and Haruhi figma, who would have different body proportions, here the body's truly are identical, legs, heads and what they come with being all that sets them apart.
The bottom of the uniforms are hard and stiff, limiting most leg movement.
I should also note that during the shooting of the photos show here, Fates twin tails must have fallen off at least 20 times(not exaggerating), they really seem to hate staying on.
I couldn't really think of all that many ways to pose the figures, due to their kind of limited possibility
(took this pic long after first making this post)
Over all, problems aside, I'd say they're not bad, though certainly not the best figs the line has put out, I wouldn't say they're the worst.
Nice find! Though, can't say I care too much for the figures, even more so after reading the review.

I wish the Nanoha one weren't so expensive
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I think they look really cute. But I would probably never get them myself due to not owning a PSP and having not use for the game.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. But over 13,000 yen is kind of steep since I don't even own a PSP. ;_;
ReplyDeleteOh god, that pic of them holding hands.
